Can I choose my own towing company after an accident?

Yes - and it's the law. Under Oregon Revised Statute ORS 746.280, your insurance company cannot require you to use a specific towing company or repair shop. You have the right to choose who tows your vehicle and where it goes. If an insurer or police officer tries to direct you to a specific company, you can decline and call A&S directly.

Do you work directly with insurance companies?

Yes. We work with all major insurance providers and can help coordinate your claim. Call us first after an accident - we can advise you on the process and make sure your vehicle gets to the right place. Keeping documentation and getting the right tow from the start protects your claim.

How fast can you reach me in Douglas County?

Can you tow a vehicle that's off-road, in a ditch, or overturned?

Yes. We handle complex recoveries including vehicles in ditches, embankments, water crossings, and rollovers throughout Douglas County and Southern Oregon. Do you tow motorcycles, RVs, and semi-trucks?

Yes to all three. We have the equipment and experience to safely handle motorcycles (with proper tie-down equipment), RVs and motorhomes, buses, semi-trucks, and other heavy commercial vehicles. We are one of the few operators in Douglas County with heavy-duty recovery capability for large commercial rigs on I-5.

What should I do while waiting for the tow truck?

Move as far off the road as safely possible, turn on your hazard lights, and stay in your vehicle if you're on a highway or freeway - especially on I-5. If you must exit the vehicle, move well away from traffic and never stand between your car and oncoming lanes. Set out road flares or reflective triangles if you have them. Stay on the line with us if needed - we can keep you updated on arrival time.
